WE'RE ON VACATION!
By the time this is posted we'll be back in the states, back to the place of Diet Cokes, cars with automatic transmissions, and for Art, new hips! If all goes as planned Art will be having hip replacement surgery while we're in the states - a new procedure that promises a really fast recovery.
I'm not sure if we'll be able to visit the grandgirls while we're here - the inauguration is right during the time we'd hoped to go to D.C., and even though we don't need a hotel room, the airfares are sky-high!
I'll try to post from time to time, but since the title of the blog is "Art and Barb live in Italy!", there probably won't be too much relating to Italy to write about while we're in Kentucky. Here's hoping you all have a great holiday season and that 2009 is a good year for all of us! Ciao for now!
